The time has come to unveil an ambitious project our team has been working on for several months. We are excited to officially announce that NūMove is currently developing its own Center of Excellence in warehouse automation technologies!
On display at the Center of Excellence: Warehouse Automation Technologies by NūMove
For the past few months, we have settled into a new building just a few steps from our headquarters in Anjou, Montreal. We are currently transforming this new 20,000 ft² space into a true innovation hub.
Valued at over 2 million Canadian dollars, the NūMove Center of Excellence is gradually housing a complete automation line. It replicates the journey of various products in warehouses and distribution centers. Many of our automation solutions are showcased here: from robotic depalletizing of complete pallets, to automated storage and retrieval of products, to the final mixed palletizing of orders to be shipped.
The brand-new multi-SKU palletizing technology we inaugurated this summer, NūBotik MixPal, is one of the solutions currently in demonstration. Recently, a compact version of our case ASRS, InnoPick®, was also integrated. Moreover, other robotic cells are currently being installed, and we are planning an official launch in 2025. More than 2 million dollars – Why such an investment?
In line with our strategic vision, NūMove has devoted considerable efforts over the past few years to developing unique and high-performance solutions tailored to the needs of warehouses and distribution centers. This rapidly expanding sector is increasingly adopting automation technologies.
Indeed, according to the 2024 MHI Annual Industry Report, “55% of supply chain leaders are increasing their supply chain technology and innovation investments. 88% are saying they are planning to spend over US$1 million and 42% plan to spend over $10 million. This investment includes solutions for improved supply chain resiliency, transparency and as well as solutions for the ongoing workforce shortage. “
Consequently, NūMove Center of Excellence represents a key milestone in our strategic planning, thereby strengthening our position in this growing market. In addition of demonstrating our expertise, the center allows us to welcome our clients and test their products, improve our solutions, experiment our new technologies, interact concretely with our suppliers, train our team members, etc.
