1. Item Identification

(a) Each component must be clearly labeled.

(b) Parts may be shipped in bundles. In this case, each bundle must be identified, except for non-standard parts, which must be labeled individually.

(c) The identification label must include the following: part number, revision, purchase order (PO) number, finish number, and quantity. For returns, the label must also include the Return Material Authorization (RMA) number or the Non-Conformance Report (NCR) number.

(d) The total number of pallets in each shipment must be clearly indicated: 1/3, 2/3, 3/3, etc. This ensures our team can verify that all pallets have been delivered.

2. Pallet Selection

(a) Use a pallet that is suitable for the weight and length of the items being stacked.

(b) A standard pallet measures 40 inches wide by 48 inches deep, or 96 inches long for oversized items. If items do not fit on a standard pallet, choose one that matches the weight and length requirements.

(c) The pallet must be strong enough to support the total weight of the load. Please keep in mind that it will need to be unloaded and stored on a pallet rack.

(d) Ensure that no items extend beyond the edges of the pallet.

3. Sorting Parts by Size

(a) Small parts must not be placed under larger parts.

(b) To simplify handling, group parts of the same type and size together.

4. Component Protection

(a) Each component must be properly protected to prevent damage during transport and storage.

(b) Every layer of components must be secured to avoid damage. When stacking components, ensure they remain stable during handling, transport, and storage.

(c) Use steel strapping to secure the items firmly in place.

5. Flatbed Deliveries

(a) Please limit the use of flatbed trucks whenever possible.

(b) If flatbed delivery is unavoidable, it is critical to protect the goods from weather exposure (rain, snow, etc.).
